mouz beat OpTic; Na`Vi crush NRG

mousesports and Natus Vincere have picked up their second victories at the ESL Pro League Finals after moving past OpTic and NRG, respectively.

OpTic and mousesports went into the match looking for their second victory in the tournament, with the North Americans getting out to a 3-0 lead after winning the pistol round with a B execute thanks to three kills from Tarik "⁠tarik⁠" Celik.

When the game reached the gun rounds, it was a back-and-forth affair as neither side could run away with the lead. The teams took turns in stringing rounds together, with the half ending in a close 8-7 scoreline in mousesports' favour.

The second half began with a straight rush from drop towards A by mousesports, who ended up winning the round with a quad kill from Chris "⁠chrisJ⁠" de Jong. The European team carried their momentum into the gun rounds and brought the scoreline to a 13-7 advantage.

That was when players like tarik and Keith "⁠NAF⁠" Markovic started getting big individual plays, helping OpTic to win five of the next six rounds. Only two rounds now separated the two teams, but mousesports did not let their lead slip, picking up two in a row to take the map, 16-12.

Meanwhile, Na`Vi sought redemption against NRG after losing two of their first three matches in the tournament. The CIS team got off to a flying start to the match and took a 13-2 lead on the Terrorist side of Cobblestone.

NRG then found a lifeline as they won the first two rounds on the T side, but once Na`Vi got money in the bank it was all over for the North Americans, who would only strike one more time before the Europeans hit 16 rounds.
